Abu Dhabi, 12 November 2009: In line with its commitment to raise awareness of health and ensure the well-being of all employees, the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MSFNCA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, organized a lecture on 'Health and safety in the office'.

The lecture was presented by Dr. Ahmed Nabil, preventive medicine consultant in the ministry, in the presence of His Excellency Sami Mohammed Bin Adai, CEO of the Support Services, and a number of ministry employees. The lecture highlighted the important ways to ensure safety in the office environment and the ways to prevent H1N1 virus infection.

His Excellency Tariq Lootah, Director General of MFNCA, stressed on the importance of pursuing necessary actions and adopting good health practices in the Ministry. He praised the role of the Ministry of Health in preventing the spread of H1N1 virus through timely sessions to raise awareness.

Dr. Nabil recommended the need to form a committee on healthy and safety that meets periodically to discuss the latest developments, stressing the importance of timely communication with the Ministry of Health to identify best health practices and thus prevent the spread of dangerous diseases in the workplace.
