Coordination between Governments and Parliaments…Experiences and Practices

The Ministryof State for Federal National CouncilAffairs organizes on the2nd and3rd of June at the Emirates Palace / the Forum: Coordination between Governments and Parliaments…Experiences and Practices /.
 
The Forum was announced this morning during a news conference organized by the Ministry at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, by HE Tariq Hilal Lootah, Director General of The Ministryof State for Federal National CouncilAffairs, HE Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghafli Executive Director of The Ministryof State for Federal National Council Affairs.
 
The activities of the forum will start with an opening address by His Excellency Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Federal National CouncilAffairsIts agenda includes 5 sessions: two meetings in the first day and three other meetings held on the second day.

The representatives of 13 Arab countrieswill participate in the forum: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Sudan, Lebanon, Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Mauritania and Yemen.
 
The participants will discuss a number of work sheets related to the most important topics of the forum and presented by some law and political science professors and Arab personalitieswith an international experience in both governmental and parliamentary fields.
 
The activities of the forum will present the experiences of some participating countries in the processof coordination between the government and the parliament.
 
This forum is the first of its kind in the Arab countries to launch the cooperation and the exchange of experiences between the institutions responsible for the coordination between the executive power and the legislative power in the Arab world and is one of the initiatives adopted by the Ministryof State for Federal National CouncilAffairs in the United Arab Emirates which assume responsibility for promoting the political participation and the development of parliamentary life in the community and gather Arab institutions working in the field of coordination between governments and legislatures with regard to legislative and regulatory aspects and to achieve harmony and bring views to promote parliamentary action in these countries.
 
The forum aims to strengthen the relationship between the concerned parties of coordination between the executive power and the legislative power in the Arab world and work to upgrade them.
 
It seeks to exchange experiences and practices applied in the work of these institutions and their roles and their mechanisms of implementation to learn about the experiences of different countries in this regard and about the practices they follow.
 
It includes topic and issues to be discussed regarding the nature of the relationship between the government and the parliament in the modern state and its impact on the coordination authorities and the importance of the existence of institutions and ministries to regulate the relationship between governments and parliaments and the role these coordination authorities between the governments and parliaments have in the Arab countries in supporting the legislative and the executive institutions and the role of coordination authorities between the governments and parliaments in Arab countries in the political education of citizens and the impact of the administrative management of these coordination authoritieson their performance.
 
During two days, the forum will review the experiences of the UAE, Sudan, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen in the field of coordination between governments and parliaments and also presents work sheets and studies related to coordination authorities between the executive power and the legislative one.
