Dr N. Janardhan is a research analyst/consultant with a broad-based interest in the socio-political developments of the Gulf region. His research areas include political reforms, education, media, labour and international relations.
Prior to joining the ministry in 2007, he was Editor, 'Gulf in the Media', and Program Manager, Gulf-Asia Relations, at the Gulf Research Center in Dubai. With a PhD from the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, Dr Janardhan has also worked with The Asian Age and The Gulf Today newspapers in India and the UAE respectively, and with the Rome-headquartered Inter Press Service as well.
Apart from over 450 opinion articles published in various Middle East and Indian newspapers, his recent academic publications include 'Kuwait: Never Before and Never Again,' in P. R.
