Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council (FNC) Affairs, headed a delegation from the Ministry on a visit to Dubai’s Etihad Museum on Thursday, March 15, 2017.
The Museum is a prominent cultural landmark that showcases the stages of establishing the Union – a turning point in the history of the United Arab Emirates. Etihad Museum’s Advisory Committee Chairman, H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, accompanied H.E. Al Kaabi; H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for FNC Affairs; and the rest of the delegation on a tour of the museum, where he gave a thorough explanation of the exhibits and divisions that retell the history of the UAE.
H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, said: “Etihad Museum is an invaluable historical and national landmark that embodies the history of our country. It provides a great incentive for all UAE citizens to follow in the footsteps of our forefathers, building on their legacy and achievements to develop the UAE and place it firmly among the world’s most prosperous and prominent nations.”
Etihad Museum is based at the site of the Union House (Dar Al Etihad), where the rulers of the emirates signed a declaration that marked the formation of the UAE in December of 1971. The Museum houses numerous sections and displays, including The Journey to Union exhibition, the Founding Fathers Gallery, an interactive map that sheds light on the pre-Union era, and a 3D film that chronicles the founding of the Union and honours the prominent national figures who played a part in the nation’s creation.
