In line with the directions of the United Arab Emirates to shift towards smart government and to achieve its strategic objectives of promoting a culture of political participation and political awareness, the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs has launched a smart application that allows members of the community to gain information about the activities and news related to the ministry.

H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, said the new application is a tangible outcome of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to utilize modern technology to enhance communication with all members of the society and spread a culture of smart government to reach the public round the clock through smart devices such as smart phones.

He pointed out the mobile phone application offers a new opportunity to promote a culture of political participation and political awareness in the community, which are key strategic goals of the ministry. Using the application, the public can follow the latest news and releases of the ministry, which would be especially beneficial for university students and researchers who specialize in the political science and legal studies, H.E. Lootah said.

The public can download the application on their iPhones by typing the words MFNCA in the Apple Store.

This application is a new addition to the ministry’s modern integrated communication system which includes social media channels and an interactive website, in addition to specialized periodicals and an electronic magazine on political participation.
