18 December 2012

The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MSFNCA) held a meeting with secretaries and consultants of various ministries to develop a coordination mechanism between the government and the Federal National Council (FNC), as part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the FNC’s performance through improved communication with all the federal entities.

“The Ministry is keen to implement its projects and programmes and take forward the coordination process between the FNC and government in line with the leadership’s vision,” said His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Director General of MSFNCA.

Stating the key role played by MSFNCA in strengthening the coordination between the legislative and executive organizations since its inception in 2006, HE Lootah pointed out that the Ministry had launched a number of successful initiatives in cooperation with strategic partners targeting all the social segments to raise awareness about political participation culture.

The agenda of the meeting included discussions on the feedback and the latest developments on the coordination process between FNC and government. It also discussed preparations for the FNC sessions and other topics. MFNCA organises such meetings annually to help achieve its strategy goals.
