Abu Dhabi, December 23, 2019 – The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) organised the Annual Meeting for Coordinators at Ministries and Federal Government Entities to discuss various proposals and ideas for enhancing coordination between the government and the Federal National Council (FNC) and better integrate the executive and legislative branches of UAE Government.

The meeting offers an ideal platform that supports the Ministry’s efforts to enhance communication between the government and the FNC. It creates innovative communication channels that open new horizons for cooperation and integration between legislative and executive authorities, including the interest of the citizen and the country. The meeting also aims to clarify procedures for dealing with FNC-related issues, and outline the role of communication coordinators in federal government agencies.

The annual meeting was held at the Abu Dhabi Youth Hub, with MFNCA Undersecretary His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah in attendance, along with a number of officials and more than 35 communication coordinators in ministries, institutions, and federal bodies. In his opening speech, H.E. Lootah thanked the coordinators for their efforts and role in enhancing coordination between the government and the Federal National Council.

H.E. thanked all employees of the General Secretariat of the FNC for their constant collaboration to improve coordination and integration in the Council and achieve the Ministry’s strategic goals to the fullest extent.

“Under the guidance of its wise leadership, the UAE has become an example of effective integration between all institutions to drive development and progress,” H.E. Lootah said. “The Emirates developed a government ecosystem that promotes a culture of teamwork and collaboration to strengthen its leading position in various sectors.”

Attendees at the meeting looked back at the results of the government-FNC cooperation during the fourth regular session of the 16th legislative term, which addressed and improved issues related to the country and its citizens.

The annual meeting is one of a series of yearly initiatives organised by the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs in an effort to achieve its strategic goals, discuss the initiatives that the Ministry is working to achieve, and strengthen coordination between the government and the Federal National Council.
