The Ministry of Federal National Council Affairs organised visits to the FNC for participants of the Police Officers Training Institute at the Ministry of Interior as a part of its efforts to promote a culture of political participation in the society.
His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, said: “The Federal National Council plays an important role in the community, and its members are making significant efforts to understand the needs of the citizens and make recommendations to the government to help achieve citizens’ aspirations.”
HE Lootah added: “The visit programme to FNC for candidates at the Police Officers Training Institute was aimed at raising awareness about the work of the FNC and its role in supporting comprehensive development in the UAE. It came as part of initiatives to enable citizens to achieve excellence in all areas in line with the vision of the UAE leadership to make our nation one of the best countries in the world.”
The delegation of candidates from the Police Officers Training Institute at Ministry of Interior that visited the eighth FNC session was headed by Lieutenant Colonel Omran Hamad Al Hameli, Chief of the Leadership Training Section at the Institute, and included 42 participants of the Leadership Course 81. The delegation in the ninth session included 30 participants of the Central Leadership Course 59, headed by Colonel Dr. Ahmed Al Khuzaimi, Director of the Police Officers Training Institute.
Dr. Ahmed Al Khuzaimi, Director of the Police Officers Training Institute, said the Cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs is aimed at strengthening the political culture. The visit to the Federal National Council offered the participants in the leadership course an opportunity to attend the FNC sessions and experience first-hand the discussions on a variety of topics of national interest.
During the visits by the two delegations, the participants were offered detailed explanation about the FNC and an opportunity to witness the interactive discussions between FNC members and representatives of the government. The visit programme also included a tour of the FNC museum and a meeting with a member of the Council during which the participants were briefed about the key role played by the FNC in the development of the country and meeting the aspirations of the citizens.
