His Excellency Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, Minister of State for Federal National Council (FNC) Affairs, said: “Emirati women have contributed to the many achievements we have made across various sectors. They have been leading partners in the UAE’s sustainable development, and the great support they received from our leadership has allowed them to thrive, assume the highest ranks, and set an example in hard work and dedication for women around the world.”

“The empowerment afforded to Emirati women has qualified them to enter all sectors, where they truly left their mark,” H.E. added. “With commendable self-confidence, they were able to advance parliamentary practices in the UAE, become key partners in political participation and national decision-making, where they outperformed their counterparts around the world and have come to account for half of all FNC members.”

“The ‘Emirati Women and Sustainable Development’ study is incredibly significant, shedding light on the accomplishments that Emirati women have made in all sectors,” H.E. Al Owais asserted. “These successes are the fruit of the unlimited support from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, ‘Mother of the Nation’. H.H. has always been committed to launching initiatives that empower women and develop their skills. This, in turn, has enabled Emirati women to play an effective role in the achievements of the last 50 years, establishing themselves as indispensable partners in the UAE’s journey towards global leadership and excellence over the next 50 years.”
