06 November 2018

His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA), headed a delegation from the Ministry to the Founder’s Memorial in Abu Dhabi.

The delegation visiting the memorial – which commemorates the achievements of the UAE’s Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – included H.E. Sami Mohammed bin Adi, the MFNCA’s Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, as well as several of the Ministry’s department heads and staff members.

The visit covered the various components of the memorial, which include the chandelier section that reflects the late Sheikh Zayed’s portrait from various angles, as well as the garden section, which embodies the late Founding Father’s interest in nature and keenness to preserve the environment.

“Today’s visit reaffirms that the values and principles of the UAE’s Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan will always remain in our country’s collective memory, and in the heart of every Emirati that has lived on this land,” said H.E. Tariq Lootah. “Sheikh Zayed’s words will live on as a beacon for all of us to follow to maintain the UAE’s status and prestige across all sectors.”

The Founder’s Memorial was inaugurated on February 26, 2018, as His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, announced that 2018 will be the Year of Zayed, marking the Founding Father’s 100th anniversary.
