The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs organized a second meeting today (8th December, 2013) at the Hilton Grand-Abu Dhabi to discuss efforts to enhance communication between the government and Federal National Council, as well as activate consistent coordination between legislative and executive authorities to develop the government’s performance in the Federal National Council.
The meeting was attended by H.E Abdulaziz Abdullah bin Darwish, Assistant Secretary-General for the Federal National Council Sessions, Undersecretaries, Ministers’ Advisors and Specialists. Key participants included H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, H.E. Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghafli, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, and H.E. Sami bin Adi, Undersecretary for Support Services Sector in the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs.
“This meeting is part of the strategic objectives which are carried out by the Ministry to promote cooperation between the Federal National Council and the government, and contribute towards achieving the needs of citizens, and serve the nation,” said H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah.
“The ministry is continuing to work on implementing developmental projects in consistence with the federal government strategies, and has been updating its plan in accordance with the general principles and priorities of “Vision 2021”, added H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah.
H.E. Lootah pointed out that efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the federal government and the Federal National Council reflect the practical implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to meet all needs and suggestions of the Council besides contributing to provide solutions for issues that have been discussed during the FNC sessions.
The meeting is one of the annual initiatives organized by the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, which contribute to achieving its strategic objectives. The Ministry held the first meeting last year to explore ways to improve the performance of the government in the meetings of the Federal National Council.
