Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs and General Secretariat of the FNC explore their complementary roles and ways to enhance performance

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 22 December 2022 – As part of their joint efforts to enhance collaboration between the government and the Federal National Council (FNC), upgrade their coordination practices, and unify their roles to serve the country, the Ministry of State for FNC Affairs (MFNCA) and the General Secretariat of the FNC held their final coordination meeting of 2022, attended by relevant teams and officials from both entities.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the mechanisms and tools that would enable them to keep pace with the development process transforming the UAE across all sectors through the optimal use of modern technologies, which would be channelled towards accelerating and improving procedures, bringing them closer in line with international best practices and standards. They also discussed pioneering practices that can contribute to the development and design of digital services to drive further parliament-government integration, in line with the UAE Government’s directives for digital transformation.

The meeting also discussed plans for upgrading coordination and follow-up processes, as well as for joint projects designed to enhance integration of roles and achieve the leadership’s aspirations to employ all capabilities to serve citizens and meet their needs – especially through the optimal use of advanced technologies to build an innovative work system that strengthens collaboration between the Government and the FNC.

The team at the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs will be studying the takeaways, recommendations, and proposals that were put forward during the meeting, discuss optimal ways to implement them, and include them in the Ministry’s development plans in order to continue along the path of excellence, improve performance, and strengthen the bonds between the government and the Federal National Council over the next 50 years.
